1 in 4 pregnancies result in miscarriage but the topic is ignored in mainstream media and storytelling, which makes it all the more isolating. Our short film, Swings and Roundabouts, hopes to change that and encourage a broader dialogue and recognition of this common tragedy so that the inevitable 25% do not suffer in silence.
The film follows Sarah and Paul and their physical and emotional repercussions when they lose their baby; isolated in their grief, can they find a way to heal together?
Written, directed and produced by emerging female filmmaking talent are also championing new female film-makers and developing international collaborations.
